United Educators Association is pleased to partner with Judge Sergio L. De Leon, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Tarrant County in a collaborative effort to collect educational tools for teachers to be used in the classroom during the upcoming academic year. On average, a teacher will spend over $2000 of their own money yearly for supplies in their classroom. Our goal is to collect as many items as possible to supply classrooms throughout the district.

Judge De Leon is a strong proponent of public education and has used his courtroom as classroom with a program called the “Honorary Jurors Program” where FWISD students are invited to visit his courtroom and observe live court proceedings. Judge De Leon and UEA clearly understand the classroom is where students learn and teachers must have the tools they need year round in order to be effective.

We are pleased to invite you take part in the Judge De Leon’s Classroom Drive by joining us for the Kick-Off Reception which will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Pacific Table, 1600 S. University Drive, Suite 601, Fort Worth, Texas 76107 from the hours 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres from this fine establishment and a cash bar will be available. Please RSVP at uea@ueatexas.com.

Your admission into the event is to purchase one or more items from the following stores; Staples, Office Depot, Teacher Tools, Mardel’s or purchase on-line and shipped to UEA headquarters and bring that to event. Enclosed you will find a wish list from teachers of supplies used throughout the year.

Thank you in advance for your support of teachers and ultimately the students of our community. Judge De Leon and I look forward to seeing you soon.
